SINGAPORE: Singapore’s first integrated resort opens its doors to the public on Wednesday, which is today! Which sucks. But look on the bright side, at least more families will be broken up and more poor people in the society, right? The whole integrated resort thing isn't very appealing to me, what's attracting everyone is the built-in casino, yeah?
Anyway, this has it's good side as well. About 8000 job opportunities are created, more jobs for Singapore, improving the economy, to hell with the economic crisis.
Inside the resort, there's this huge ballroom which can sit 7,300 people or hold 550 dinner tables. Didn't they say Singapore is lacking of land..? Anyway, that ballroom is one of Asia's largest ballroom, so... that's something Singapore should be proud of? I mean seriously, those land they used to make that ballroom.. used to be one of my adventurous bicycle paths i took when i cycled there and now it's gone. To some ballroom that sells ridiculously expensive meals, ranges from $30-$50. I guess this could be the greatest resort for tourist... yeah greatest, financially.
Mahathir M D Yusop, staff, Universal Studios Singapore, said: "It is a very big place so in order to get from one point to one point, if you walk from one side, you will sweat to the other side once you reach your point!" So it's so big, it actually makes you sweat in an air-condition area and thus making you ill. This is perfect! Don't you think so?
Mr Sloane said: "When we fully come on line and we have all restaurants, we will be doing between 25,000 and 30,000 meals a day and we perceive on the weekend going to 40,000 with Universal, and at its peak, to 2 tonnes of chicken a day, 1.5 tonnes of vegetables, 1.5 tonnes of seafood and multiple other items etc." God, so many chickens are killed everyday. I feel bad for eating chickens now. But this means that they predicted that they WILL use those ingredients per day. Isn't it alittle exaggerating. A total of 5 tonnes of food a day. Who's going there, Americans or something? I don't think they needed so much food. More importantly, that area is so big, that it actually takes a day to transport food from Restaurant A to B to C and D. Yeah, it's so big that they actually had 4 or more Restaurants. Let's all pray and be vegetarians from now, 3.5 tonnes of meat gone a day isn't a small amount.
That's 1277.5 tonnes of meat a year! I'm talking about tonnes i'm not talking about the number of meat. By the way, 1 tonne of chicken would probably be about 500,000 chickens.
Also, there is an automated system to make sure that every single staff member in uniform is spiffily attired. By flashing an RFID tag, the system will recognise the staff member, the department that she/he is from, and her/his uniform size. A conveyor belt will sort through the many uniforms and within minutes, the right one will be picked out. Saving time and sending those uniforms to them almost immediately. It's like a dream come true. I dreamt that there will be automated wardrobes that sort my cloths for me. If i can have one of these a home, it'll be perfect, though i hardly use my wardrobe anyway. Hopefully those wardrobes are so computerised that they actually put the cloths on for you. It reminds me of a show in Cartoon Network about people in the future.. maybe it'll really happen, who knows.

Hmm... automated wardrobes. I want one.
